Stoke’s Creative Village has welcomed a powerful player in the town’s ongoing regeneration story.
Pivot Therapies, a physio-led Pilates and wellness studio, has officially opened a brand-new flagship space at the heart of the historic Spode site, bringing expert-led movement, rehabilitation, and holistic health to the town.
The brainchild of local physiotherapist and University of Staffordshire graduate Jen, Pivot has grown from a handful of weekly classes to a fully staffed wellness destination.
The new studio features two physiotherapy clinics, dedicated Reformer and mat Pilates spaces, yoga and acupuncture services, full changing facilities, and even a post-class coffee area, all designed to help people move better, feel stronger, and reconnect with their health.
Pivot’s is another key tenant in Dog and Bone (D&B) Group’s Building 4 expansion, which is transforming former derelict buildings into thriving creative and wellness hubs.
Backed by Levelling Up Fund investment and private capital, the site now supports over 100 jobs, most in Createch and graduate-level roles.
“Pivot Therapies has gone from two classes a week to five full-time staff,” said D&B Project Manager Ashley Booth. “It’s exactly the kind of business that shows how regeneration can deliver real impact, economic, social, and personal.”
The opening underscores a growing demand for wellness services in urban regeneration projects, and Stoke’s Spode site is emerging as a blueprint for how culture, business, and community can intersect.
“People are ready for a new kind of wellness experience, one rooted in expertise, care and connection,” said Jen. “And there’s no better place to build that than here at Spode.”
