A Staffordshire brewery has launched a collaboration to offer guests the first-ever Alton Towers Resort beer.

The UK’s biggest theme park, which employs around 2,000 people, is currently hosting its fourth annual Bavarian-themed Oktoberfest special event featuring live entertainment and themed food and drinks.

And for the first time, it has a new locally-produced lager on offer.

Rural Brewing Co, based in Alton, has produced the Laugh & Scream Lager and will be supplying over 10,000 pints for the Oktoberfest event.

Robert Goodley, Co-founder of the Rural Brewing Co, said: “Celebrating Oktoberfest at Alton Towers Resort is a real feel-good experience, and we at Rural Brewing Co, are excited to be a part of this incredible event.

“Our journey to create the Laugh & Scream Lager has been led with the Alton Towers heritage in mind, infusing the homegrown craftsmanship that defines our brewery with the thrilling nature of Alton Towers Resort, to create an extraordinary tasting beer for guests to enjoy this September.”

Alton Towers employees get into the spirit of things for Oktoberfest.

The Laugh & Scream Lager promises a crisp, refreshing and nutty flavour, using 100 per cent British ingredients that are both vegan and gluten-free.

Oktoberfest runs until Sunday, 1 October. For more information, click here.
