Google is coming to Stafford

1 min read

Google trainers will be visiting Stafford to help business owners grow their company online and find new customers at a free day of expert-led sessions next month.

The Google Digital Garage event will feature workshops, mentoring and networking to boost digital skills, confidence and online growth.

Sessions will cover topics from social media to artificial intelligence and there is also the opportunity to book private one-to-one mentoring.

It takes place at Stafford Rugby Club on Friday, 5 September between 10am and 3pm.

Leigh Ingham, MP for Stafford, Eccleshall, and the villages, who has worked to bring the event to Stafford, said: “I’m really excited to be bringing Google to Stafford for this event. Their trainers have so much to offer – whether you want to grow your business online, boost your social media, explore AI, or just feel more confident with digital tools. It’s all about giving people the knowledge, skills, and confidence to take the next step and unlock new opportunities.”

She added: “The benefits of this could be huge – stronger local businesses, more employable young people, and a community that’s better connected – not just online, but with each other.”

Since launching in 2015, Google Digital Garage has visited more than 500 villages, towns, and cities across the UK, training over 700,000 people face-to-face and online.

The Stafford event is part of Google’s “Getting Britain Growing” programme, aimed at helping people develop the skills they need to grow a business, jump-start a career, or explore a new idea.
