Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce has revealed the third and final keynote speaker for this year’s Let’s Do Business expo.
Nathan “Hitman” Heaney, who made history as Stoke-on-Trent’s first British middleweight champion, will take to the stage when the event returns to Uttoxeter Racecourse on Thursday, 9 October.
And businesses are being urged to secure their free delegate tickets via the Staffordshire Chambers website.
Chris Plant, Deputy CEO of Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, said: “Nathan is a true champion of Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire, captivating the nation with his unforgettable walk-ons and his hearty performances.
“I’m really looking forward to hearing the stories behind his success and the insights he can share to inspire businesses across the region.”
Nathan spent 16 years as an amateur before turning professional in 2017, rising through the ranks to claim the British middleweight title.
His achievements were recognised earlier this year when he was inducted into Stoke-on-Trent’s Sporting Hall of Fame, joining legends including Sir Stanley Matthews and Gordon Banks.
Away from boxing, Nathan is a former college lecturer with degrees in Sports Science and Law. He has also been awarded an honorary doctorate from Staffordshire University, highlighting his impact both in sport and in the wider community.
Nathan will be joined by award-winning entrepreneur and headline speaker Mo Chaudry, and former Stoke City Women’s captain Meg Bowyer.
Let’s Do Business saw record attendance in 2024, and organisers are expecting this year’s event to sell out once again.
