A homes sales and lettings agency has scored with young footballers after striking an agreement to sponsor Leek Town’s under-10s.
Belvoir Stoke-on-Trent, Biddulph and Leek has a track-record of working with charity and not for profit groups, but the new deal is the company’s first to feature grassroots sport.
Ramona Hirschi, Managing Director, said: “We’ve previously looked to help communities in developing countries, for example supporting a rural enterprise in Sierra Leone where villages have been devastated by the Ebola virus.
“This time, we wanted to support local children’s activities, so we approached youth coaches at Leek Town and offered our help.”
In a win-win result for the football club and business, the under-10s now have smart new kits complete with Belvoir branding.
Ramona said: “We’re based in Hanley and are probably best known in the Potteries but we’re also selling and renting homes in the Staffordshire Moorlands, so the sponsorship will help the business to raise awareness.”
Businesswoman Ramona took control of Belvoir Stoke-on-Trent, Biddulph and Leek in 2017, and has grown the Albion Street, Hanley, estate agency.
Ramona was joined by her husband and fellow director, Raphael Hirschi, and mortgage broker, Mike Bowcock, on a visit to Leek Town’s Harrison Park to watch the under-10s team train in their new Belvoir kit
